As autocrats around the world find ever firmer grips on power and enrichment through exploitation of their respective populaces, it might be worth publicly presenting them in a collective format; a sort of visual charting of fascist facial familiarity, if you will. Hence I hope for “bewareDictators_01″ to affectively introduce, to a currently compromised country’s unwitting, under-educated, fascism-beguiled sub-set of folks, a wide array of characteristically identifiable* tyrannical rulers.
Each of the forty-nine cubbyholes within the 7 x 7 matrix presents morphic transitions between a peculiar grouping of despots, Lenticular lensing provides illusory intermix of alternating images. And visually scanning chamber-to-chamber across the full collection tends to elicit an ethereally diabolical creepiness of a most unusual sort.
- After spending countless hours Photoshop-staring at endless head-shots of these sinister pukes, I can safely attest to an eerily expressive commonality between them: Where there is evil internal, it commonly shows itself outwardly through the eyes.
[N.B. For this particular iteration of the series, the portrayed candidates assemblage holds a filtered, central focus on contemporary notorious demagogues from beyond the U.S. borders.]
