vrComper_05e [2007 – 2009]
With respectful acknowledgements to Alberti’s Della Pitture treatises, the vrComper collection serves as a primer toolset for the teaching of perspective and compositional depth cues. While a harbinger of digital compositing from an imagined alternate reality, the vrComper_05e rig represents but one from of the wider assortment of experiential instructional aids which includes multiple line-of-sight directors, gauges, and point markers to aid in the effective educational demonstration of many core concepts behind(human) perception, abstraction, and illusion.
Materials: Wood, wire mesh, acid-free archival paper, acrylic, inkjet, laser-printable acetate, UV-protected matte medium.
