“Piggy’s Predicament”: Story Machine

The “Story Machine” is a mythic, metaphorical centerpiece designed to show how the intertwined stories in the Piggy’s Predicament (“PP”) suite of media properties can be generated and assembled. It was built to give gallery visitors a clear sense of the project’s overall look and feel—and an inviting introduction to the world where future “PP” scenarios might take place.

By placing selected plot/character discs onto the Ouroboros Infinity Wheel, visitors can explore possible character dynamics and story arcs. Think of it as an interactive storyboarding “Wheel of Fortunate Outcomes”: pull one of the rope leads to “spin the snake,” and watch the story elements shift into new positions—creating fresh connections, relationships, and narrative possibilities.

N.B. The “Story Machine” was originally created for the public debut of the “PP” suite (and to support investor outreach) as part of the New Technology in Fashion Design Exhibition at Parsons School of Design in NYC. Unfortunately, the exhibition closed just a few days after opening due to the September 11 attacks, when some evil idiots crashed planes into the nearby World Trade Center.
